Got the compliment of my life from a former now retired editor this morning. Did not want to share it because it sounds boastful, but so rarely are you judged by people who are really qualified to judge you. Anyway, he said to me that he used to look forward to receiving my column each week, that even though he disagrees with my politics i am one of the best writers he has ever read in all his years in the business, and that i should quit everything else and write. First i though he was just trying to get me out of politics but he laughed and said no, that wasnt his motivation :) Funny thing is that is all i really want to do. That and be a rock star. What do you think?
