Gotta love it. As of Dec 16 Charter Cable will require that every tv in the house have a box...at an additional cost of course. If a tv doesnt have a box it wont work. Now heres the kicker. The equipment is not new, its refurbished. A family member of mine got them and installed them... Because charter wont. THEN, when one of the refurbished boxes doesnt work, Charter will be so kind to have you wait around all day to send someone out. It will be at the discretion of the tech whether you should be charged for the service call. Yeah, I wonder how thats going to go? Can you say EXTORTION. I love being forced to do something and then being charged for it. I purposely dont have boxes in my childrens rooms so I can avoid having them exposed to certain programs. And, no, switching is not an option because the other carriers are just as bad. Im not for government regulating everything, but why cable/dish companies are not overseen by the public service commission is beyond me. They have free reign to screw the public as they like.
