Gracie -- News on 2nd transfusion. Shes still in the fight. No problems with the transfusion, and her PCV was 35% as of this evening (was 11% going in). Shell get another level done in the morning before being released to come home. One concern -- the specialist said her energy didnt ramp way up like it did with after her 1st transfusion. Not sure if this is a bad sign. On the other side of the coin -- even though it ramped up after the 1st transfusion, her PCV dropped almost 50% in two days. Well get another yet another level on Friday, and that should give us a general idea where things are going -- wanting very much for the numbers to hold. This is a very anxious time for me. Have also been inquiring w/local veterinary schools (Univ. of Georgia and one in NC State) about treatment costs).
