Grade 3 Excursion to Scienceworks On Monday the 12th of August all of the grade 3’s went to Science works and enjoyed the many hands on displays. Today I jumped out of bed because all the grade 3’s are going to Science works. I was really excited! I got to school and about 2 minutes later we were off. It took 1 hour to get there, but I’ll suck it up. Then finally we MADE IT! It looked better than I imagined and bigger. When we got in we went to go and look and try lots of random stuff and see what happens First I had a look around and later I tried some things. There was a piano that could work without touching it and my favourite bit was the optical illusions. After that we went to the planetarium. The screen was on a domed roof. The chairs bent back so that you could see without looking up. We watched Tycho to the Moon and constellations. I had a great time at Science works. Will W. 3B I had the best time at the spectacular Science works where I always had something fun to do. Like the time I spent in Sports works where there were heaps of hands on stuff. I practised being a goalie where I had to stop 3 penalty kicks. I was a great goalie and they only scored one goal. I also got to practise my handballing skills and try to get the ball through a hole in the wall. I also did some rock climbing but I wasn’t very good at it, but my favourite part was when I got to race my friends at a running race. Noah L. 3B
