Great article: Indigenous Australians want the discrimination of the past to be recognised and plain guarantees to prevent it happening again. The Greens support the change to our constitution - a new clause 116A: “The Commonwealth, a State or a Territory shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, colour or ethnic or national origin.” At the launch of his 2013 campaign, Abbott promised to put Indigenous recognition at the centre of his first-term agenda.
