Great jazz vocalists are always very comfortable with their own vocal range. Unlike most of the vocalists on the morden staged musical theatre, they do not try to copy anyone elses voice and they never shout when they sing. What we ( jazz music lovers) enjoy is the uniqueness of each artists voice.
