Great news after an iffy day and I wasnt sure we were going to get out of there. The shunt is working and the ventricles have reduced by 3mm. The swelling in his neck is also nearly gone tonight. His eye has calmed down and we are well on our way toward a constipation resolution. He walked into the hospital and walked out pushing his wheelchair. Nathan is back to baseline after a very quirky few weeks and now we are left to figure out how to move forward. He has no symptoms of anything so questioning if the tethered cord surgery is needed yet. I have until Monday to decide, Dr. Muh will check in with us again at the end of the week to reevaluate. No more decisions for a few days, just laundry, rest, Santa and food. Next week, new plan and hopefully a new me. Yay! XO
