Greetings $1 Community Project members and friends of. :) My name is Brenton (off Facebook) and I have had the amazing pleasure of meeting the wonderful Roma - and hearing a bout his beautiful insight and goal for creating community. From our conversation, and from my own experience I have inspired a project to incorporate with Romas goal of creating community - Last month, I launched the idea of an open community - a movement to create the sense of community without the living on the land part. The purpose: To unite EVERYONE, from all walks of life, from all regions, from different backgrounds - and in the early stages, host a number of events, gatherings, rituals, workshops, talks, etc - all in the act of creating community - the first step before getting land. To create bonds with people. To do things as a community. To have people to share our lives with (away from the mainstream strip of society) where positive values are extended by all members. All to help build good morale with others and to grow together. Incorperating Romas idea of the $1 commyunity project, each gathering or event - by request only, a donation of $1 would help fasten the pace of our long term goal. 50 cents of the $1 would be offered (but does not have to be accepted/its by choice) to people hosting a workshop for open communities (eg: material costs, yoga mats, etc) and the other 50 cents would be locked away into a long term high interest account (to make bigger from what we receive) to one day (through community consultation and conversation) looking into acquiring land. Community - to bring everyone who wishes to join together. To promote the positive side to live, of growth, happiness, skill sharing, and disconnecting from destructive distractions that are only offered through mainstream minds.
