Greetings, all! Thank you to everyone who joined us in Fargo for Crown Tourney! There are far too many people who helped out during the day to name them all. Also, I am not sure who everyone was. Every time I would get distracted from a task, I would remember later and find out someone else had stepped in and made sure it happened despite my scattered attention. Thank you all. From everyone who filled water, found a broom, moved a chair, or responded to my blank face when asked a question with Ill take care of it. To the half dozen individuals I grabbed at any given time and begged to go be loud for me. To the kind gentles who delayed dinner to assist with stacking chairs and putting away tables. To Ron Williams, who went in search of more coffee. To the people who showed up exhausted after a long drive the night before to see if we needed any last minute help. Everyone who laughed instead of growled every time there was a detour to site. To the coin makers guild who provided kick butt event tokens. Someone on Saturday ended up using their hair scrunchy to tie our banner so it wouldnt fall over. I dont know who you are, but thank you, and I have your hair scrunchy around here somewhere. It is all those small kindnesses that make me love Northshield and get all teary eyed...of course, that could just be exhaustion. Since I got a number of specific compliments from attendees, I do want to point out a few specific helpers, so that those compliments go clearly to those who deserve them. To Serena Sam Reinbold, Charlie Raymond Charlie Jamison, and Desiree Brenda Ruziska , who are mainly responsible for making the place look pretty (and took more creativity that would have been expected), and for David and Claire Robyn Clare Brough who stepped in to help finish when energy was flagging. And to Helene, who got the ironing started in a big way. To Una Rebecca Lyon, who between all the little things ended up doing half the event. Oops? To Kathlin Megan Ramsett and Chris, who did an impressive job at lunch, and for finally removing the yellow meatballs from my reach before I made myself ill. To Fina Ingen Aeda, Tarrach David Horvath, and Athena Hill Gracyk, who contributed to feast despite unforeseen obstacles. All four (did I mention Una?)--YUM!! To Hrodir Sam Overland who made several last minute things possible. To Fina who thought a hospitality table would be a good addition. To Tarrach who also did signs, and showed us the joy of being able to drive down to the lower floor. To Tanwynn Tina Adams, who kept up with all the website changes. To Viviane Roz Corwin and Desiree who rocked the troll table. To everyone else I am going o remember as soon as I hit send with a forehead slap and a How could I have spaced them?? Agg!! Hopefully youll forgive me, since all my remaining brain cells are still sleeping. Lusanna Katherine Circle and I are only the autocrats. The list of helpers is mind blowing. Thanks to everyone. ia
