Greetings folks! So, an interestingly surprising comment was posted on my website in relation to one of my commentaries titled Roscoes House of Chicken and Waffles: A Dining Experience I’ll Never Forget (Note: Read the full article first: goo.gl/XNBS3v). Comment: Anybody who measures the number of ounces of water they are drinking just to bide the time should not be reviewing this restaurant. For what its worth, Roscoes is a special treat for most people, not a regular occurrence. I cant help but wonder if you noticed all of the patrons who were celebrating birthdays or anniversaries. If not, you should have. Every MD you meet will tell you to eat everything in moderation. One or two meals a year like this will not kill a person. This is not the place to wax about your superior nutritional knowledge and competence. Yeah, everybody knows its not healthy. And nobody cares. Thats why Roscoes doesnt post their calories online. My Fitness Pal only guesses. And theyre always low, according to my nutritionist. Also, I cannot help but notice how you cut out butter and wondered why you didnt like the food: then looked around at others who were enjoying their meals. And, just for the record, the amount of whipped butter on a waffle is about 2 tablespoons, not a cup. . Geez, girl. Keep your food avoidant behaviors out of a place like this. My Response: ...Thank you for sharing your perspective on this fine establishment of unique cuisine. Unfortunately, I didnt witness any birthday or anniversary celebrations on this particular visit, only gluttonous behaviors. In terms of my butter measurements, maybe the chef in charge that day got a little happy with his tablespoon because it was well over two of those. Neither here nor there, as you stated, listen to your MD, they always know whats best for us and our children, which is obvious given the obesity rates in this country. As for me, Ill continue spreading the gospel of health and wellness as I know it. All the best to you and keep on eatin that chicken in moderation :-) What do yall think?
