#Group seeks release of MOCPED result Education Rights Campaign, a group of stakeholders, on Tuesday called for release of results and certificates of some former students affiliated to Ekiti State University (EKSU) by Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), Noforija, Epe. Mr Hassan Taiwo Soweto, the National Coordinator of the group, made the call in a statement in Lagos. The group recommended adequate punishment for anyone, no matter highly placed, whose actions or inaction were responsible for the delay in the release of the results. The statement called for an independent committee to probe the administration of the Provost, Prof. Olu Akeusola. ``An education institution is meant to mould lives, but this is not the case with MOCPED. ``Rather than mould lives, the college seems hell-bent on destroying the future of youths unfortunate enough to gain admission into its EKSU-affiliated degree programme. ``We charge the public to join us in calling on Prof. Akeusola to order the college to release the results and certificates of its degree students. ``The college is running a degree programme affiliated with the Ekiti State University (EKSU), but no student under the programme, has been issued results or certificates since the programme started about eight years ago. ``As a result, many lives have been shattered and dreams crushed with unemployment rising in the country, those without certificates have no hope of getting gainful employment. It called for adequate funding of the college and good running of the institution with the involvement of elected representatives of staff and students in all decision-making organs of the college.
