Grover M. See Grover M. See, age 92, of Moorefield, WV, passed this life on Friday, March 28, 2014 at his residence. Born on Wednesday, September 28, 1921 in Bass, WV, he was the son of the late Dick M. See and Edith May Runions See. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Grover retired from Rockingham Poultry after 41 years of service. After retirement, he worked at Elmore- Chambers Funeral Home for several years. He was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren, where he served on the Church Board and various committees. He was the former Executive Secretary of the WV Poultry Association and a member of the WV Farm Bureau Association. He was also a WV Agriculture Hall of Fame Inductee. Grover was a member and the former Chairman of the Town of Moorefield Zoning Board. He was also a member of the Hardy County Planning Commission, the Moorefield Lion’s Club, the Peru Community Center, and the Hardy County Rod and Gun Club. Grover also served on the Board for the Hardy County Commission on Aging and was the former President of the Olivet Cemetery Association. He is survived by his wife, Irene L. Sites See; one son, Daryl M. See and wife, DiAnna, of Moorefield, WV; two grandchildren, Jeremy M. See and wife, Nichole, of Fort Valley, VA and Hannah V. See of Moorefield, WV and Brad D. Flannigan of Romney, WV; two sisters, Phyllis Wolfe of Moorefield, WV and Viola Kemp of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren with Pastors Lucy and Russell Webster and Pastor Roger Fike officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Moorefield Church of the Brethren or the Olivet Cemetery.
