Guess were gettin old. We thought of venturing out for Artwalk - it is, after all, just down twenty-nine steps and out our front door onto the 2100 block of Postoffice Street. But Kathy and I were both on the road this past week, to separate places - she out of state. And she was out of state, as well, for several days the week before on a(nother) civic-duty jaunt. (Plus, she is still battling the upper-respiratory crud.) I came home from five oclock Mass at St. Patricks, opened the mail, and mixed a dirty gin martini on the rocks (with a Buccees garlic-stuffed olive - !) - and neither of us mentioned heading downstairs, even as vocals and notes played on an amplified guitar across the street in front of Mod Coffee & Tea House wafted into our front living room. And we have Diaper Bank duties mañana. Nah. Were staying in.
