Guilt is associated with worse symptoms and poorer recovery in low back pain. This gets even more interesting when considering drivers of guilt, such as religious beliefs to get controversial. The back of a Muslim and a Christian are run by different software, hence Christians tend to experience more guilt. Further, religious beliefs from a predominantly Christian sample, are associated with increased low back pain.
