Guys, I love the Lord so much. This morning, while I was getting ready for work, I was talking to Him about how amazing and loving and kind He is to me. As I was saying these things, I realized how different my life has become. After years of keeping a mental list of the food I had eaten that day, how many calories I had burned working out, when I was going to fit my gym time in, and whether I had eaten too much and needed to throw up, it hit me that the gracious, merciful, beautiful Lord has really set me free. Did it happen all at once? Not exactly. I realized that as I began reading the word and really talking to the Lord (and rebuking the Devil and his demons), He began to shift my priorities from the temporary to the eternal. Am I glorifying the Lord at all times? Probably not. But I assure you that I am talking about and praying to Him more than I ever did with my face shoved into a toilet. The gaze of my eyes is on His grace, goodness, and kindness instead of on my imperfections and my failings, and I have found the more I look to Him the less I have the desire to think of or look at myself. Even greater than freedom is the overwhelming joy I have found in the Lord. He really loves me. He REALLY loves you. He is who He says He is. The greatest part of all is that you are not beyond hope or beyond help. If the Lord can pull this selfish, insecure girl from the pit of depression and despair and turn her into a woman boldly praying and declaring His promises to others, surely He can do the same for you!! He is patiently waiting for us to declare the promises He has given us in His word so that He can fulfill them. He doesnt ask you to bear your burdens alone. He doesnt expect you to get it all together before He will love you. He loves you just as you are, but thankfully He loves you too much to leave you the way He finds you. You dont have to take my word for it, though. Test Him yourself. God is not a respecter of persons. If He will do it for me, He will surely do it for you. Thank you, Jesus.
