Guys, we need some serious help here. So, few months back, my friend Bosky Dhirai had spotted these two labradors and one female great dane being kept locked in a single cage. Though the cage does look spacious, its definitely not enough for three huge dogs.These people have kept them caged in the premise of a School in Mulund. When asked them why being kept here, they dint have a concrete answer. The Dane is the sweetest girl and you would always find her looking out of the cage. Now a few problems here that we have noticed are: @The labs, who are known to be all jumpy and playful, are on the other hand so dull that they wont even lift their heads up when called. That doesnt seem right. @The trustee seemed to have no clue about their vaccinations and licensing. @Worst thing thay happened last time was, one of the labs had contracted gastro and still he was kept in the same cage along with the other two rather than keeping them separate. @The water bowls are never cleaned. @No proper exercise given. Walks are not enough for them. @Also, whats these people smartly have done is, covered the entire cage with plastic sheets so that the dogs cannot be spotted. Maybe they have done that because of the rains. But covering them halfway has not helped keeping the rainwater out. @Their flooring is of marble. Again, not advisable for dogs like Great danes. Its becomes slippery because of the rain water. We need some support from the animal welfare group to get these babies out of that cage and to be kept in a loving environment. We have tried a lot but no one seemed to take this case seriously. Its been months. I humbly request you guys to spread a word across for these dogs. I am attaching some pictures where you can see the dogs are CHAINED EVEN INSIDE THE CAGE. Then what is the purpose of them being kept in a huge space as they claim.
