HELENA’S CW10 HIGHLIGHTS FOR NEXT WEEK MONDAY, DECEMBER 16 SPECIAL - “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” A CHRISTMAS SPECIAL BASED ON THE HIT HOLIDAY SONG ── Based on the hit song that became a worldwide holiday phenomenon, this goofy and heartwarming adventure features young Jake Spankenheimer on the quest of a lifetime to track his missing Grandma down on Christmas Eve and prove that Santa Claus is indeed real. Michele Lee (“Knots Landing”) provides the voice of Jake’s greedy Cousin Mel and recording artist Elmo Shropshire provides the narration. SPECIAL - “THE VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW” FEATURING MUSICAL PERFORMANCES BY TAYLOR SWIFT, FALLOUT BOY, A GREAT BIG WORLD AND NEON JUNGLE ─ Victoria’s Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson, Behati Prinsloo, Karlie Kloss, Toni Garm and a bevy of other supermodels will star in this lingerie runway show. The night will be broken up into six-themed sections, with the angels sporting different looks in each of the segments, which consist of “British Invasion,” “Birds of Paradise,” “Parisian Nights,” “Shipwrecked,” “Snow Angels” and the “Pink Network.” TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17 THE ORIGINALS KLAUS MIKAELSON, THE ORIGINAL VAMPIRE/WEREWOLF HYBRID, RETURNS TO NEW ORLEANS IN THIS SPIN-OFF OF “THE VAMPIRE DIARIES” ── Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), the original vampire-werewolf hybrid, has returned to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans – the city his family helped build 300 years ago. Determined to help his brother, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) leaves their sister Rebekah (Claire Holt) behind and follows Klaus. Elijah learns that the beautiful and rebellious werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) – Klaus’ onetime flame – has fallen into the hands of a powerful witch named Sophie Deveraux (Daniella Pineda). When Sophie reveals some life-changing news, Elijah realizes that the Original family may have been given a second chance at humanity and redemption. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19 THE VAMPIRE DIARIES THE POWER OF DOPPLEGANGERS ── While Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) try to explain Amara’s (Nina Dobrev) situation to Stefan (Paul Wesley), Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett) gives Katherine (Nina Dobrev) some deeply disturbing news. Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) shows up at Caroline’s (Candice Accola) dorm room, searching for Katherine. After a surprising conversation with Amara, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) share a glimmer of hope. Silas (Paul Wesley) fails to keep a promise, causing Damon to turn to Tessa (guest star Janina Gavankar) for help with his new plan, and Stefan makes a heartbreaking confession to Damon and Elena. Alex is surprised when he upholds his end of the bargain and doesn’t take off with the jewels. However, things get messy when Sam is jumped by the loan shark he owes money to, and Alex must step in to save him.
