HERE ARE OUR EVENTS FOR TODAY FOR SPRINGTIME PARTY!!!! • ALL DAY - Chef in Training Picture Contest: post a picture on our stores Facebook page of your youngster helping out in the kitchen or dressed up as a chef! The winner with the most likes will get a chef prepared meal for their family or a FREE birthday party for their child in our club room. Voting will end tomorrow at 4 pm and we will announce the winner! • TONIGHT!!!! Cooking/Chef Wars Series #1: 5-7pm, teams of 4-6 students from Hempstead and Senior high schools compete in a Cooking War on the floor, all located in the same location of the store. The teams are provided 5 ingredients prior to the competition and let us know what other ingredients they need (within X budget), they are able to plan their recipe prior to the competition, prepare their recipe from 5-5:30 and sample with customers, with Penny War (pennies = + points, silver coins and bills = - points), school with the most points by 7pm wins all the money, chef also chooses a winner and that team gets a roll of pennies for the war, students wear clothes representing their school, could include blind taste-testing for extra pennies/points. We will be doing the Cooking/Chef Wars Series #2 tomorrow night! Come cheer on your favorite school tonight!
