HERES THE THOUGHT FOR TODAY FROM WALT............ Howard Christian Community Camp Creek Road. Pastor Walt Just sayin’ Let me ask you a question. When Jesus saved you, what did He forgive you for? and how far did he Go? and are you free? And further did He give you the privilege of complete start over, or did He hold some things back? Did He say in some way that you could not ever love again? If you had been guilty of some sin in the past? I’ve got bad news and good news for you, all of you. First, the bad news, None of us, yes, me included are clean enough to gain entrance before the throne of God where Paul says we should enter boldly to gain help in time of need, without His cleansing. I hate to be called a “kill joy” but God has revealed to me that without the righteousness of Christ, no one including me, can get in the presence of God, and any sin no matter how serious can Enter there. Is that Bible or no? Is not the entire theme of the Bible, Repent? From beginning to end? Is not God telling us to repent? How much righteousness did He say we had? None? This means for us old hillbillies that we are all dirty in the eyes of God and need a big hardy bath, and of course that is in the Blood of Jesus. That’s why Jesus said we should ask the Father in His name. So the real question is not what we have done in the past and how it reflects on the future the real question is how far did the cleansing of Jesus go in taking care of all of it, If you believe that He did not set me free then the cleansing was not complete, but if you believe that His cleansing did indeed set me free then I am free to start over in all things. Including my love life. PS. I believe that every Christian should approach God by first asking For the cleansing through Jesus, as He instructed us in the Word. Be sure to go to Church tomorrow. Love you.
