Students have been concerned about the excess of cruel comments about both Deaf/HOH and hearing people, race/ethnicity, and even personal identity. This forum is welcome to both the deaf and hearing community! This Wednesday Dec. 3rd 6:30PM-9:30PM at the Student Development Center (SDC) room 1300, Student Life Team of NTID is holding a Hot Lava Discussion about the controversial phone app called YIK YAK! Recently theres been some dispute between the Deaf and Hearing community of RIT and this event will give the opportunity for everyone to understand each other and improve our relationships and interactions with one another. Interpreters will be available as long as hearing people are willing to attend and learn about Deaf culture and the many identities associated with Deaf/HOH people.
