All over the Country every officer of the Banking sector irrespective of the caste, community, creed, Culture, language and territory ventilated their anger and anguish against the apathy on the part of the IBA and the Government by displaying their solidarity and unity in wearing black badges. The solid expression of this solidarity is the reflexion of inner ire built up over a period due to the inaction on the part of the controllers in meeting the genuine demand of the bank officers. The expression was explosive because the emotions were controlled over decades. The young intellectuals joined in the bank during the recent days have proved that they are emotional too when their rights are questioned. Your feelings are right. Countrys economic stability is ensured by Bank officers. We have reached the every countryman and relentlessly rendering our service to uplift him, braving all odds. When the globe witnessed the economic melt down in every part of the world, we, the Bank officers kept the Indian banks as strong as Rock. When our controllers have been encouraging the private banks, it is the officers of Nationalised banks are managing 70% of the Banking business. Officers of Nationalised banks only responded to the Prime Ministers clarion call of Jan Dhan YOJANA opened five crores accounts in fifteen days. We demand decent increase in compensation matching to the comparable in the industry after outperform those comparable. Our agitation gets intensified from 13th onwards. We will adopt work on Time. We shall come out from the workplace after working hours and utilise the additional hours & holidays & Sundays for strengthening trade union activities by organising seminars and meetings on wage revision. I request the district level functionaries to plan diligently to reach every member to explain and encourage them to take active part in the agitation programme. 11th and 12th October be used by the office bearers to reach every member in the possible way to erase any doubt in the minds of young officers. Nobody can pressurise to sit late and no body can penalise in case of refusal. One young officer Mr Krishnakumar from Ottapalam, Kerala has posted in the Face book that he was not supplied with black ribbon. Office bearers should not give room for any such complaints and a meticulous plan only will bring the desired results. Our demands are just and right. Till we succeed we shall fight.
