HIP HOP NEWS ~ JAY-Z/BARNEYS STORY Is anyone following the story about the racial profiling at Barneys New York and the collaboration with Jay-Z? 1 black person was ARRESTED after PURCHASING a high-end belt and not released until police figured out the kid could really afford it and another black lady was stopped by police after PURCHASING a handbag... The kid has since returned the belt and is suing. After these incidents, Jay-Z set up a scholarship fund with Barneys so the proceeds go underprivileged. He says hes not falling back due to the potential loss of education. My question is WHO is continuing to shop there? Jay-Z says pulling out before he knows the real facts is also profiling.
