HIT Circuit training Aerobic + Lactic workout Eg. spending at least 20 seconds on each exercise. As the circuit wears on, one thing starts to deteriorate. Can you guess what that one thing was? If you said their technique, you are 100% correct👊 Form starts off OK, but turned into gumby as the session goes on. This is a common mistake that you MUST avoid. You see, PAIN is the most powerful nervous system programmer in the world. For example, thats why a lot of people who get injured continue to walk with a limp even though theyre fully healed. So when youre starting to fatigue but youve got more lunges to do or punches to throw, this is how you should be working: 1) First focus on maintaining your technique. 2) Then think about pushing yourself to maintain your pace or power. Your form deteriorates because certain muscles get tired before others and thats when you start to use your back when you shouldnt or when you drop your hands when you should be keeping them up. But when you do this when youre feeling the burn or pushing yourself to the limit, the bad form motor pattern used can quickly imprint itself and this habit can be hard to break. On the flip side, maintaining proper technique while super fatigued is the best way to embed that good form into your nervous system. So youve got to push yourself, not only for conditioning, but also to hard-wire good form into your system so your body moves in the most efficient way possible, no matter what conditions youre in. Whether youre working out or training your martial arts skills, avoid this common conditioning mistake and youll be more efficient and incur fewer injuries. Keep it in mind the next time youre pushing yourself. 8:00am 000!! See yall there.
