HMPS “Masala Bhat” Recipe (Proportion for ½ to ¾ kg basmati rice) Thank you Ajey Naik (HMPS Dining Hall In-charge) Ingredients Basmati Rice ½ kg Vegetables Carrot 150 gms French beans (fansi) 150 gms Potato 150 gms Onion 150 gms Peas boiled (Watana) 150 gms Masala Haldi Dhana powder Mirchi powder Rai Jeera Hing Salt to taste Kadhi patta Tej patta (tamal patra) Garam masala Corianders (kothmir) PROCEDURE 1. Prepare steam rice and keep it ready separately. 2. Put oil in a big pan 3. Once it heats up add rai, jeera, tej patta, hing, kadhi patta and make it ready. (tadka ) 4. Add all the vegetables and mix it well cook and mix it well for some time. 5. Now add all the masala mentioned above Haldi, dhana powder, mirchi powder,garam masla powder. 6. Cook this mixture well so that the masala and vegetables mix well. 7. Add water to make thick gravy and cook further and once this gravy is ready you can sprinkle the coriander on it mix all well. 8. Now put one layer of steam rice in a vessel, add one layer of masala gravy, and follow these steps so that the 1st layer will be of rice. Close this container for a while.
