HUGE FLOOD! Nearly 4000 cfs went down the lower Ojo Caliente this afternoon, and the large arroyo near El Duende also went over 4000cfs and up and over US 84. Nearly 10,000 cfs was reported at the Chamita gage. There was major flooding below the junction of US 285 and US 84 with several homes inundated with 5 feet of water. These photos are from our bridge and the River Trail just after the peak, taken at about 4pm. This water did not come down the main river but via tributaries in the BLM lands.
