Had Michael Brown just committed a convenience store robbery? If so, it doesnt affect the legal determination of whether the officer was justified to use lethal force when he encountered him shortly thereafter (the only question at hand is whether the officer believed he was in imminent harm when he fired), but it does add some context to the situation. I will say this: Speaking generally now, all individuals in society dramatically reduce their chances of a lethal encounter with police if they dont rob people or struggle with a cop for his gun. Those are extremely risky behaviors that are almost NEVER going to turn out well.
