Had a great trip to Moz between 26 April and 3 May. Ressano Garcia border was surprisingly quick mid-morning on Saturday 26th. We took the moambe/ Komati river road and opted for the western route via Sabie town which was rutted but fine and relaxing. The road joins the EN1 before the Komati River Floodplain and we arrived at Honeypot about 3 hours quicker than another group that had gone via Swaziland and Maputo. Return trip was a breeze, except for the last piece of the eastern Komati River detour (which however is currently being repaired). Absolutely no hassles or harassment from any officials in Moz. Only one speeding fine (deserved) for the lead vehicle. It was a birding trip and we visited the Limpopo Floodplain, Panda Woodlands, Barra, Morrungulo and the Unguane Woodlands. If anyone is interested in the birds I can post a birdlist of what was seen.
