Had a little episode at the metro just now. Madi got on the train and Sienna and I were about to board when the door closed right in front of our noses with Madi inside by herself. I managed to put my arm between both doors and it all happened so fast but at least 5 or 6 young guys jumped up and helped to pry the doors open. Madi squeezed through safe and sound and burst into tears. She got so scared. I wasnt overly worried because our metro separation plan has been drilled into them since they could walk but it was the perfect opportunity to review our procedure. I cant stress how important it is to have one when you travel by metro. Weve gone through different scenarios of people wanting to help them and unknowingly having them deviate from our plan. I would like to send a virtual thank you to those who jumped out of their seats to assist. My arm is definitely going to be bruised but there was no way I was letting that train leave with my daughter.
