Had a similar heart stopping experience like that while driving in New Jersey last year. The only difference is I was at fault...I was inexperienced on US traffic procedure when caught by a yellow light... and was stupid to brake indecisively causing the 16 wheeler behind us to jack knife at 50mph. Luckily the driver was so skilled he would qualify in a Fast and Furious stunt audition. He drifted his truck and cargo onto the empty lane on the right and blew thru the red light all the time blaring his loud horn. My wife and I saw our past life experiences literally stream by at the blink of an eye...Have lost at least 4 of my nine lives so far..God is Good and Merciful!
