Had surgery done on my front teeth this morning to try to save them. Feeling my front teeth throb a little bit right now, but Advil is taking care of that. The doctor removed the gums around my front teeth then cleaned them all the way down to the roots. OWWW! Then he stitched up what was left of the gums to seal them. Having this done will help stop food from getting below the gumline and stop that from causing infection to set in. Like I have said before. this had to be done because of the massive bone loss I have suffered from smoking for thirty plus years. The worst part of it though is that my back teeth are to far gone to save and I will still have to get those removes later next year and a plate made for me. Please folks, if you smoke, STOP before this happens to you also. I regret that I started smoking and now I am paying the price with all of the dental problems Im having. Stop smoking, if not for your lungs then for you teeth before you lose them like I am.
