Had the perfect pre-concert situation today. Nice warm-up, great rehearsal, nice late lunch, short nap. Why nap? Because the difference between a good performance and a great performance is a nap. Its like a computer shut down and restart with all circuits restored. Now a shower, back to the Suzhou Concert Hall nearby and hour to warm up at the piano in my dressing room and then concert. I am going to miss playing with this great orchestra, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and I am going to savour this last opportunity to play Kelly Tangs Concerto with them tonight.
