Half an hour late out of Bhopal-Habibganj, about an hour late into New Delhi, I really do not want to ride AC Chair Car in Shatabdi again unless they start providing a non-food option. The quality of food sucks (we got three soups, one each of tomato, daal and again tomato with some paneer in it); the hygiene is terrible (the same waiters who work the morning train are at it on the way back without a bath / change / rest); the dessert is vanaspati frozen dessert. And then the cabin stinks because the ventilation is stuck on recycle. In addition, 2 out of 4 exit doors are blocked by food boxes, and the TTEs/Conductors couldnt be bothered about this lack of safety aspect. The toilets havent been repaired for a while and for all this we pay top-rupee, this is supposed to be the pride of Indian Railways, 12001/12002! Going to carry my own kambal and ride 2nd sleeper non-AC henceforth, again.
