Halloween, but not in costume ... that is the story of Luke. His appearance was really that frightening, actually leaving us cold. Luke is purebred male Cocker Spaniel who weighs all of 18 pounds. He is a senior dog, at least ten years old, probably somewhat older. He is badly undernourished, but that is only one of his problems, the one most easily fixed. Luke is a severe neglect case, who arrived in rescue soaked in urine and matted to the skin, with the longest nails weve ever seen on a dog (they were something like 2 inches long). He teeth were suffering severe decay, in part due to a separation of the oral/nasal cavity that required immediate surgery. In short, he was a total mess. Luke is a gentle and loving dog who amazingly holds no grudges. Now that his medical has been addressed, he needs a foster home.
