Hammonton Up for sale is a very large and BRIGHT 24 x 22 sampler. Totally original with full uncut borders. Germantown wool on linen. It says on the back that I bought it in 1989 at Bob Brooks auction and that it came out of a Vineland estate. It is both signed and dated Florence Margaret Cowburn Aged 9 1864 and it is the original Rebecca at the well. I guess little Florence was thinking about a bible verse during this period of civil war time. The center is solid stitched and measures 13 square and the bright boards are 2 and 1/2 wide, very wide for a boarder. There is no fading anywhere. This is just one of the many samplers that I have. Probably have at least 7 or 8 on this site. It has looked great on my wall for 25 years and now it is time for you to enjoy it.
