Happy Friday Non-Boring Members, While I cant say I was prepared for 100+ new NYAC members to join within a two hour window, I will say that its a pleasure to have all of you on board. NYAC is dedicated to bridging the gap between non-boring New Yorkers seeking to understand their hometown with member-only events and tours encompassing the citys culture, cuisine, architecture, and history. This is an active group, which means if youre not participating or contributing to the NYAC community in any facet, you will get kicked out. Something as simple as a like will suffice for now, but Im more interested in the member who posts their adventures to the group wall or attends an event in person. In the meantime, I am going to cap the group at around 200 until the NYAC community is more cohesive and ready for a fresh batch of members. Anyways, below are the weekend events I routinely post every Friday night -- this is a curated list of events around town that I deem practical, affordable, and worth checking out. If you can make one single event on this list, or attend something else adventurous, I can sleep well. However, if your weekend involves the typical Manhattan Bubble of hanging out with the same friends, in the same neighborhoods, for only drinking and Sunday brunch, then you have joined the wrong group (i.e. GTFO). On that note, expect some happy hours to commence bi-weekly or monthly so this community can be more than a bunch of anonymous Facebook users. Dont be boring, go do something.
