Happy Memorial Day! Congratulations to Jon Sutherland, 63, of Lake View, California, who today (26 May 2014) tied Mark Coverts running streak record of 16,437 days (45 years, 1 day). Today they share the top record for running at least one mile per day as certified to Streak Runners International (SRI) and the United States Running Streak Association (USRSA). It is an honor and joy to follow the great Mark Covert, my teammate and friend as a leader on the Streak Running longest list, said Jon Sutherland in a statement to SRI/USRSA. Surely somebody will pass me thats inevitable, but will he or she be as influential, inspiring, important and dedicated as my pal Mark has been!? Thats Everest! Good Luck!
