Happy New Year everybody! Or as Gary Coleman (rest his soul) would say, What you talkin bout everybody. My wife, Jennifer, found a whole bunch of CDs on a shelf that I had burned years ago of various bootleg shows and podcasts. In there I discovered a few form the fabutastic blog Funky 16 Corners named after the legendary compilation of forgotten funk artists. There are years of downloadable podcasts filled with massive amounts of unknown, lesser known, and fairly well known funk and soul acts doing incredible music from the 1960s and 70s. While the audio quality isnt always the greatest as far as bitrate, it doesnt matter because the music is solid and this music came from vinyl. Enjoy if you want to get some soul and get funked up for the New Year. And be sure to check out the whole site for some real gems and history.
