Happy New Year everyone. My brickwall may always be the identity - TopicsExpress

Happy New Year everyone. My brickwall may always be the identity of my 3rd Great-grandmother. She was Ruth J Carver or Ruth Carver Johnson, born perhaps 19 Apr 1819, Eagle Island, died 10 May 1867 perhaps North Haven, buried in Quinn Cemetery, Eagle Island. She definitely married Henry Carver Stewart 30 Sep 1838 in Montville. Ive seen the FHL microfilm with the marriage intention and actual marriage filing and her name that day was Ruth J Carver. She was about 19 years old. I have yet to find one scrap of evidence concerning her parents. Some folks claim that a Charles P Johnson was her father (because of an inscription on her monument) but the Charles P Johnson who is mentioned as being buried in the Quinn Cemetery was actually born in 1829 and would have been a child when Ruth was marriage age. Others suggest that Wills Carver and Hannah Thayer of North Haven were her parents. Id like to lean in the latter direction since that would make me a three line descendant of Robert Carver of Marshfield but as of now, I have no where to lean. Any thoughts?
