Happy Thanksgiving! Reflecting last night over a nice ale from Wallace Brewery with Keith Witt and David Tipton about what thankfulness means for a Christ follower. Came to a gloriously wonderful yet insanely difficult conclusion. Thankfulness starts with realizing that because of Jesus, we have been given a new life here, and for all eternity. So our circumstances can change, but the constant is Jesus and what He has done for us. Everything can be taken away, and He is enough. So we have every reason to thoroughly rejoice in the blessings and good things He gives us knowing that we did not earn them or deserve them, He just gives them to us because He is awesome.
