Happy Veterans Day, unless your from Eau Claire, WI. The anti-gun/politically correct school district cancelled the 80 year old tradition of vets presenting at the school, because guns are too scary...even in the hands of Americas veterans. When I was a kid, we had the local WWII vets come (they were much younger) to have a ceremony, including guns, flags, and actual patriotism - in the school gym. They were considered heros back then. I thought schools were supposed to teach history. They blew an opportunity to teach students, not out of a book, but with real life. To give them something to respect. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Shame on Eau Claires school district, for disrespecting our veterans and their service to our country! I hope the residents of Eau Claire take action to restore Veterans Day to a place of honor, so it doesnt have to take place at Burger King!
