Harambee Stars report to Kasarani residential camp The Harambee stars squad for the forthcoming COSAFA Cup reported to the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani residential training camp where they are expected to be until Thursday. The home based dominated team was named by head coach Adel Amrouche, the team is largely packed with players who have been involved in the recent 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Only five foreign based players have been included in the Kenyan team that was released last week .They include ,Defender Brian Mandela, South Africa, striker, David Gateri, Belgium-based Johanna Omollo, Azam’s Joakins Atudo and Jamal Mohamed of Oman’s Al Nasr Kenya will be appearing in their first COSAFA Cup tournament and this will give Amrouche a valuable chance to work with his team in a major tournament. Kenya has been drawn in Group B of the tournament and will come up against Lesotho, Botswana and Swaziland. Should they advance out of the pool stages, they will meet Angola in the quarterfinals. Angola, being among the countries seeded based on higher FIFA ranking will not undergo qualifying round and will therefore meet the winner from group B. Kenya open their campaign against Lesotho in Kitwe on July 7. Squad Goalkeepers: Duncan Ochieng, Wilson Obungu, Jerim Onyango; Defenders: Mulinge Ndetto, David Owino, David Ochieng, Brian Mandela, Jockins Atudo; Midfielders: Mohammed Musa, John Mwangi, Edwin Wafula, Peter Opiyo, Francis Kahata, Johanna Omolo, Teddy Akumu, Collins Okoth; Strikers: Edwin Lavatsa, David Gateri, Jamal Mohammed, Ali Bhai.
