Has anyone here seen the Freestyle Libre before? Its a new thing that is available in Europe and hopefully in North America soon. My endocrinologist showed it to me today (not the actual device, but showed it to me on line.) Its not quite a CGM (and cheaper than a CGM, apparently) but a bit more than a glucose meter. The sensor is maybe a little smaller than the OmniPod, and you wave the glucose meter over it to get a blood sugar reading. There are pros and cons to it, but I really want to try one now. According to what my endo said, the price of a months worth of sensors would be comparable or a bit cheaper than the price of a months worth of test strips, assuming the sensor lasts two weeks the way its supposed to.
