Have any Special Moments youd like you share... heres mine for today...😊 A special moment to share... I was struck by a moment with our granddaughters during one of their Monday visits. We took Gracie, our Black Lab, outside to play. Our oldest grandchild, twelve-year-old Caitlin, noticed two cute tiny dogs barking in a neighbors backyard over a hedge that separates our properties. These little dogs have been there since before we moved here about 6 years ago. They were standing on lawn chairs in order to have a better view of the events outside their world within invisible fences. Caitlin said: Grandma, look at those cute little dogs! I realized that the little girl I have watched and loved for 12 years is not just growing taller - but she is also able to see and observe things she never did before. This beautiful young lady is seeing, observing, learning and processing new things through growing-up eyes every moment of every day. I wonder...are those of us around her aware that our choices, actions, and words are included in those moments? I pray that her foundation is strong, that her eyes see clearly, and her heart is filled with the strength and wisdom to choose the best materials to build her own unshakable will to enable her to do her best and to finish strong. May she filter out that which erodes her foundation. May she see things through the prism of unconditional love from family and loyal friends...and especially from God. Seeing little dogs over a hedge is not an unusual moment for a 12-year-old, but seeing and living life with the joy and discovery through trusting child-like eyes, and recognizing the hope in each new day - is.
