Have to say, I am not consoled at all by the Ebola virus response. The patient was not tested on arrival. So it is assumed that since he had no symptoms on departure, that hours later when he arrived, he was not infectious. Now one of those he had contact with isw showing some symptoms. That is certainly not surprising. That person is also in isolation now. My guess is that person also has Ebola, thereby already spreading the disease. The hospital dropped the ball after the patients first arrival at the ER. They asked the questions on the checklist and he told them he was from Africa. That information was not communicated to others present and so it was not used for anything. They released him and he went to his visiting residence assuming a common cold with one nurse knowing he recently came from Africa. How many more botches will occur? Follow the checklist but do nothing with the information? Just watched a press conference. The press is really digging their heels in now and asking hard questions. Everyone gathers together to reassure us that they are prepared and there will be no spreading the disease but it has already happened. Wait until someone surprising turns up ill with the disease. Then all hell will break loose.
