Have to share my great experience with United and DoubleTree Seattle airport this weekend. I am sure others may have had different experiences both positive and negative but I cannot say enough nice things about how smooth everything went for us. I PCSd this past weekend from Yokota with my 4 year old boxer. We flew out on the rotator which was easy enough but not especially note worthy. Once we arrived in Seattle we stayed at the Doubletree inn at the airport (not the suites) and it was very pet friendly with nice rooms and a nice area to walk our dog. The staff was very helpful and even gave me a dedicated driver the next morning so I could get the dog over to the United cargo terminal and then get me to the passenger terminal. Mera at United helped me get our boxer all checked in and sent me on my way. We used the PetSafe program and it was great. At each layover I watched as my dog was taken off the plane quickly and loaded in to an air conditioned van. Even the van drivers were nice as I could see them talking reassuringly to my dog the whole time. Then when getting on the next plane he was the last one loaded, out of the van and onto the plane right outside my window right before takeoff. The stewardess stopped by my seat to let me know he was on the plane and doing well. When we got to the final destination he was waiting for me at baggage claim with a smiling attendant and a Sky Cap standing by. Great customer service and polite staff the whole time!
