Deadline for entries: 1 October. More details: Your year abroad - A smart career move Join our SMLC photo competition on the year abroad and careers and be in with a chance to win an iPad mini. The theme of the competition is “Outstanding” - This means your photograph should be taken during your period abroad and can be related to any aspect that you feel has helped you improve your career prospects and made you stand out from the crowd. For example, the focus could be on a skill you acquired, a personal quality you developed or improved, or on a practical experience you gained during your time abroad. Entries should be accompanied by a brief description answering the following question in no more than 100 words. What did you gain from your period abroad that will make you stand out when you enter the job market? To enter the competition please email your photo and description to [email protected] by 1 October 2013. The winning entries will be presented at a networking event during the SMLC Career Week which will run from 14 - 18 October 2013.
