Have you been reading all the recent articles about “The Christian Left” being on the rise? A new study finds that a significant number of Americans—approximately 1-in-5 (19 percent)—are religious progressives. Religious conservatives comprise 28 percent. Among Millennials, religious progressives significantly outnumber religious conservatives. That’s big. One would have thought that the Christian Right would have been much bigger than the Christian left, but apparently not, only 9 points. All the data came from tracking Google searches of “Christian Right” and “Christian Left.” What’s really exciting is if you Goggle “Christian Left,” our website is # 1 (top of page) on the front page, and the Facebook page is #3 followed by our blog which is #4. Our Twitter page is #6. All this on the front page of Google! We have some opportunities here folks. The four co-founders of this page have an extensive circle of experienced advisers. People who know how to get big things done. This is the biggest gathering of progressive Christians online, by far. That’s because we’ve worked it 16hr/7days/365 for 3 and a half years. You’ve participated on a massive scale. We have all learned a great deal from each other. Let’s do some bigger things now, like help organize “Moral Monday” kinds of events in other states. This large a group can do big things, especially when we’re the largest online. We’re not going to guilt you in to donating. Still, as you know, big things take funds. If you’d like to be a part of changing the world send us a donation of any amount. Heck, we’ve already changed the world. In the old days if you could influence 1,000 people, you were an “opinion leader.” Together, 142,000 of us influence a far greater audience than just ourselves. It’s called expanding conciseness and we’ve done it here in a big way. This is a good, good thing we all have here. Let’s do something more with it.
