Havent read much of the Harry Potter series, but the parts I have, an the overall premise (use your imagination, have some fun, fight evil and do good) seems sound, and fun. This so-called rewriting seems at best a feeble attempt to make fun of a success, and at worst, outright plagiarism on Ms. Rowling. It certainly shows the lack of real thought or scholarship on the part of the (again, so-called) author. The rewrite also underscores what I fear is a trending tendency on the part of the christian right to rewrite anything that doesnt meet their particular standards (whatever those are) of purity, be it in literature, science, politics, history, whatever. It points again to the desire of the radical right, led by so-called religious people, to want to establish a theocracy in the US. I personally think these types are a LOT scarier than Voltemort.
