Having sold the ski boat to partially fund our trip, I miss our days out on a lake with family and friends skiing, hydrofoiling, wakesurfing and all the other things you can ride. So off I went, with kids in tow for a day at Bushy Browns Waterski Lake in Woodford (Qld) with a group of disabled waterskiers training for an upcoming Australian tournament. My brother Scott is a world champion disabled waterskier having competed all over the world and bought home many medals and trophies. These guys push each other to their limits and its a real blast seeing them carve up the course. My ski fitness is obviously pretty poor so it took a few passes to snap back into the swing of things. Its a great feeling making it through the course when you are on a knifes edge and going flat out. Lets hope the tinnie with its 15hp motor can pull me along......... so I can still get my ski fix.
