He brings me through affliction, He leaves me not alone; He’s with me in temptation, He keeps me for His own. It is truly wonderful what the Lord has done! It is truly wonderful! It is truly wonderful! It is truly wonderful what the Lord has done! Glory to His Name. Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered. Psalm 40:5 (NKJV) Dear friends and family, Thanks to ALL of you who are continuing to pray for me and for my family during this time. I have enjoyed hearing from some of you via snail mail… I always enjoy the cards, the Scriptures, and the notes. Many of you post on Facebook, and it is always enjoyable to see a new post on FB. And, some of you send me txt messages or call on the phone… however you contact me, I enjoy hearing from you and MORE THAN that, I’m encouraged to know that many people are praying for us each day, and for some of you multiple times throughout the day. God is hearing your prayers and answering on my behalf! It has now been just over two weeks since the surgery on my brain. I’ll have to say, the first week after surgery was better than the second week. This week I’ve been plagued with running fever now for 5 days, plus I’ve also been having some very intense headaches. I did get the stitches out this past Wednesday and I was cleared to drive again and told that my incision looks very good and that it is healing well… for that I’m very thankful. Thursday of this week I had a CT scan done here locally for my “local oncologist” to look at and use to help reassess where I’m at with the other tumors in various parts of my body. I’ll meet with her on Tuesday the 3rd; hopefully I’ll have some new information about what might be causing the fever and headaches. My breathing is a bit challenged, and I have some shortness of breath as well at times. I continue to deal with pain from the other tumors… SO… all of that to say, I need your continued love, prayers, and support, now more than ever! The next step as far as my brain is concerned is to have an MRI and a CT scan done of the brain which the cyberknife doctor will use to plan the radiation treatment. Those two scans are scheduled for 9/4 at Menorah Medical Center. Then, on 9/9 I’ll meet with a “cyberknife certified” neurosurgeon who will discuss the cyberknife treatment. I’m not sure what his role is in this whole process, but I guess I’ll find that out on the 9th. It is just one thing after another… and one appointment after another! In spite of it all, I can still say it (and mean it) “It is truly wonderful what the Lord has done! Glory to His Name!” The wonderful works that God has done for me are more than can be numbered! I am truly thankful for ALL HE continues to do for me and for my family. Thanks for standing by me and being a part of the WRIGHT TEAM. We are counting on each of you at this time. I will for sure send out another update once I learn more or after these appointments this week. God bless all of you this weekend and I trust you have a safe Labor Day celebration.
